Families and Friends Now Have Somewhere to Turn When Mental Illness is a Concern
Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) is pleased to open our new Family Resource Centre (FRC). The Family Resource Centre is a space where families and friends can access support from a healthcare team and information resources to support family members with mental illness. The FRC is also a space where families come together to support each other and participate in education to better aid one another in the recovery process of their loved one.

Ontario Shores Foundation Hosts Inaugural Butterfly Affaire Raising $100,000 for new Family Resource Centre
On Saturday, September 21, Ontario Shores Foundation for Mental Health (Ontario Shores Foundation) hosted its inaugural Butterfly Affaire, presented by Bell Let's Talk, to raise funds for the new community Family Resource Centre at Ontario Shores.

Ontario Shores Staff Shine at Marquee Event
There are many reasons to be a fan of the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. The event is a pretty big one on the Greater Toronto Area's social calendar. Runners come from across the GTA and around the world to test themselves in the event's 5 km, half marathon and full marathon races.

Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences invites you to attend Interprofessional Grand Rounds. The medical talks, intended for healthcare professionals, are scheduled Thursdays 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Ontario Shores lecture theatre.

Tuesday Evenings
6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Family Education Series
Ontario Shores' Social Workers and Family Council welcomes you to attend this and other information sessions in order to assist you and your loved one in navigating the services offered by Ontario Shores and community partners.

Fourth Wednesday of each month
7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Family Council Event
The Family Council hosts monthly meetings that are open to everyone in the community who have a loved one that has been affected by mental illness as well as family members, relatives, friends or significant others of current or former inpatients and outpatients of Ontario Shores.

Tuesday Evenings
7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
AA Open Discussion
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meets in the Conference Place every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm. Ontario Shores patients and the general public are welcome.
