CSU Channel Islands business programs approved for

ACBSP candidacy

CSU Channel Islands is pleased to announce that the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) has approved the University as a candidate for accreditation of its undergraduate and graduate business programs offered through the Martin V. Smith (MVS) School of Business and Economics.

As a candidate for ACBSP accreditation, CI will be assigned a mentor to guide CI through the accreditation process, which includes a self-study of the current business programs. Peer evaluators then follow-up with a site visit. The ACBSP Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commission will grant final approval of accreditation.

Established in 1988, ACBSP's mission is to promote continuous improvement and recognize excellence in the accreditation of business education programs around the world. It is the only organization offering specialized business accreditation for all degree levels, from associate to baccalaureate to doctoral degree programs. ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the business programs offered at its accredited colleges and universities meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP.
