Project Vista awards Fall 2014 scholarships
Twenty-one graduate and postbaccalaureate students are the fall 2014 recipients of scholarships through the Project Vista Scholars Program. Funded by Project Vista, a U.S. Department of Education Title V Grant, the Scholars Program is designed to increase enrollment and graduation rates of historically under-served, under-represented students in graduate and post-baccalaureate programs.
Eligibility is based on both need and merit. Criteria include financial need, current enrollment in a CI graduate/post-baccalaureate program, demonstrated reliability as a student, evidence of potential for success in graduate studies, and U.S. citizenship.
If funds are available, additional scholarships will be awarded for the spring 2015 term. All graduate and postbaccalaureate students are encouraged to apply. For information, please visit the program website at http://www.csuci.edu/vista/programs/vista-scholarship.htm

Upcoming Fall 2014 Speaker Series
Kelsey Timmerman
Friday, November 21, 2014 Noon
Author/Speaker. Fueled by passion and curiosity, Timmerman tells the story of the items we often take for granted and how they connect us to the world as global and local citizens.
His latest book, Where Am I Eating? (2013), confronted slavery in the Ivory Coast cocoa industry, and explored Fair Trade coffee farming in Colombia, as he uncovered the realities of the global food industry that is supporting our "all-American" diet.
