Can't to Can - Kiddo Accomplishments
  • Imagine our excitement at being able to watch one of our kiddos enjoy the snow - previously they disliked even walking in the snow but as of late have been making the most of our cold Colorado weather by not only walking in the snow but laughing and throwing snow balls as well.
  • We love that one of our school-age kiddos now points to an object when he wants to share enjoyment in it with his friends.
  • One of our kiddos now enjoys riding bikes after a generous donation of a razor tricycle was made to his program.
  • A kiddo with limited verbal abilities is now using up to four word phrases to communicate.
  • Talk about vocational skills, one of our kiddos is now successfully sorting and stocking silverware after only a couple of weeks.

Intensive Social Skills Spring Break Camp: March 25 - 29

Firefly's Social Skills Spring Break Camp is just four weeks away, March 25-29, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Structured similarly to a school day; we strive to provide a naturalistic setting for a high rate of social learning opportunities. These opportunities are embedded within "typical" activities in a camp setting including music, arts, crafts, team projects, outdoor games and more. A large range of goals are covered daily including body language, play, conversation, perspective-taking and theory of mind skills. We are dedicated to helping campers have fun while gaining confidence in their abilities to interact with peers and make friends both during and outside of the camp.
