Upcoming Closures
With holidays and such coming up, we at least know what some of the class cancellations and closures are, so here are the ones we know about today!
November 7--Thursday 7am
Cardio TRX cancelled.
November 28, 29, 30 & December 1
--Thanksgiving Day, day after and weekend.
Studio CLOSED
Effective Immediately all Sunday classes are removed from the schedule due to attendance.

Holiday Tips & Tricks!
Tip # 1. Chew While You Chop
Help prepare holiday meals and desserts can be a recipe for weight gain. Those little bites and tastes you take while cooking can add up to hundreds of calories, without you even knowing it!
To avoid snacking and nibbling while prepping, pop a piece of Spearmint or Peppermint gum! The scent of mint is thought to stimulate the area of the brain that registers fullness, helping you eat less!
Tip # 2. Spoil Your Supper
It may seem like a calorie saving move to skip lunch or afternoon snack to save up for a night of feasting, but that will usually backfire! When you show up to an event ravenous it is likely that you will overeat, eat too quickly and make unhealthy choices. Have a protein and fiber packed lunch and a small healthy snack about an hour before the event.
This way you can enjoy your party, your tasty dinners and the holidays without packing on the pounds!
Tip # 3. Be a Picky Eater
Ever been to a buffet or a potluck? Of course you have! Just grab a plate and a little scoop of each thing. One taste of each won't hurt, right? Wrong! Instead of packing on the calories with trying a bit of everything, do a scan of the whole buffet. Survey your options. Then go back and, instead of tasting everything, help yourself to just the three or four things that catch your eye. You will get to enjoy your favorites and keep your calories down!

Price Changes, Schedule Changes, Class Changes: Coming January 1, 2014!
As we mentioned last month, changes are a'comin'! We have been looking at your feedback on our survey and have been planning some changes for a bit. Those changes will be coming in January, below is just a brief "heads up" on what to expect!
Class Schedule: We are adding some 1/2 hour classes to our schedule.
This will result in more classes and class start times that give you a more flexible class schedule. Our schedule will be structured so that you have a variety of timing options! We will combine 1 hour and 1/2 hour classes in a variety of ways that will allow you to design a class schedule that works best for you!
Class Cards: To accommodate our new 1/2 hour classes, we are changing our class cards!
That means our 10-class card and 5-class cards will become 20-credit and 10-credit cards, respectively. Every 1/2 hour spent on classes will be a single credit. That means if you attend one 1/2 hour it's 1 credit, two 1/2 hours it's 2 credits and three 1/2 hours it's 3 credits and so on...
Every existing class card will be converted in January to the new "credit" model. E.g. If you have 3 classes remaining, you will receive a card that has 6 credits. No action on your part is required for this new change over.
Class Types: We are going to be removing some classes and adding some new class types, as well as existing class types in more scheduled slots!
What this means is more TRX, Kickboxing and Triple T, new Cardio, Upper Body, Lower body and Stretching workout options as we have some new classes coming. Fewer dance based (Zumba and Body Rock) classes will be on the schedule come January as well. Pilates Fusion will be removed from the schedule.
Price Changes: January 1 will bring some training price changes and new package options with greater discounts.
We will be adding new price options and packages for Personal Training that will include 1, 3, 5 and 10 package options, not just single or 8 pack. We will be adding a first time $5.00 class try-out option as well.
For those of you currently purchasing an 8 pack, you may want to start purchasing a 10 pack which will cost less per session! Single training session purchases will increase by $5 per session. Discounts for packages will apply to 3, 5 and 10 packs saving you $5, $10 and $15 per session, respectively.
For classes, price increases will be $0.50 per credit for 20-credit card (previously 10-class card, see above) option, $1 per credit for 10-credit card (previously 5-class card, see above) option.
All schedule, price, and class type changes, etc. will be posted online and detailed completely in the December newsletter as well at the studio.
If you would like to "stock up" on cards or training prior to the price increase we'll move the expiration date for you! That means, any packages or cards that haven't been activated (meaning you haven't attended a class on the card or used a session from the package) will have their activation date moved to January 1, as if you had purchased them in January so you will get the full duration of usage!
