Last year, SYVPI began partnering with Rainier Scholars, a non-profit organization dedicated to mentoring youth of color from 6th grade through college graduation. As an avid drummer for a local band, CJ also dedicates his time helping raise the noise for Seattle Seahawks as the Assistant Director of Seahawks Blue Thunder. Summer camps are in full swing, and it's not too late to refer youth. Some exciting examples include You Grow Girl's series of camps for girls in grades 4 - 8 that emphasize self-empowerment. STG's Songwriters Lab is for young musicians (ages 14 - early 20s) interested in pursuing their artistic vision as songwriters and lyricists. Want more information?
