Community Matching Grant Application ONLINE NOW!

We are pleased to announce that our Community Matching Grant program is now accepting applications for 2015.

The Community Matching Grants (CMG) seek innovative, community-based projects to supplement existing SYVPI programs and services. CMG funds up to $25,000 per project and requires a 50% community match. The match must show the community's commitment and investment in a project and may include volunteer labor, donated supplies or food, meeting space, and/or professional services. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, March 27, 2015 at 4:30 p.m.

How to apply:

Please use the online application portal to complete your application. Prior to submitting your application, you must have your Neighborhood Network's approval, so we highly encourage you to contact your Network Coordinator about your project application as soon as possible. Also, be sure to thoroughly review the online documents available on our website. We have Budget Forms, Instructions, Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) to help with the application process.

We believe in the power of our communities, neighborhoods and partners to work collaboratively and on their own to advance the goals of reducing youth violence and to deliver necessary services to youth.

Examples of funded projects include opportunities for youth to work with authors to write and publish their own books, learn about the culture and history of multi-ethnic communities in Southwest Seattle while earning sch
ool credit, and learn how to record their own music while learning about the music industry.

Good luck to all 2015 applicants!
