(This week's challenge:
Flight Duration. Teams construct a flyable object to be launched from a very large height. The object that takes the longest time to reach the bottom wins.)

On Thursday, Yaniv came to help us for the upcoming Engineering Expo competition.  This week we made parachutes and other flying objects to learn which type could stay up in the air the longest.

We talked about having more surface area to catch more air and keep the object in the air longer.  After we constructed our objects, we tested them by launching them off of the second landing of the stairwell.  Some didn't fall slowly, but a lot of them did and we had a lot of fun.

I think we're ready for the competition!

Be an MJCDS Ambassador

Research shows that word of mouth and the work of current parents to spread the word about their positive experiences with Jewish day school is the most effective way to attract new students.  What can you do to help?

*Hang MJCDS informational flyers in all your favorite public spaces.

*Talk to your friends about MJCDS

*Be in touch with Rabbi Rebecca if there is anyone you know that would appreciate an invitation to take a tour of the school.
