Summertime, summertime, sum- sum- summertime!

The heat continues and the rains are getting closer! We have had a couple storms in various parts of the city, but have yet to experience a wide spread Mazatlan soaker! We are keeping our eyes to the sky!

Below you will find an overview of important happenings around both our office and the city. Write us an email if you have any questions about these events, or anything else. Mazatlan is continuing to grow and improve, and is an excellent place to invest at this time.

To the right you will see our two featured properties; both are oceanfront and are excellent places to live or rent out. If you do plan on living here full-time, rentals are an excellent way to make your property work for you. Email us for more details about property management and rentals.

Team Members receive their AMPI Deeds Diploma

AMPI of Mazatlan recently had a training course regarding the understanding of deeds. In order to better serve the needs of the clients of Solutions Mazatln, Shaun Klynstra sent team members Gonzalo Moreno, Carla Osuna and Lizette Blancarte to the seminar. It was held at the business room of a hotel on the Malecon. Realtors from different offices attended as well as the president of AMPI, Mazatlan Jesus Lopez.  After successfully completing the course, the staff were awarded certificates of completion.

Continuing education is invaluable for both team and client support. Keeping everyone up to date and on the some page is something Solutions Mazatln strives to do everyday!

If you have any questions about deeds or anything else real estate related, please send us an email and we will answer your inquiry.

Happy Birthday, Eric!

"I have worked in real estate in the US for almost 15 years and Shaun is the best of the best anywhere!  He knows the Mazatlan market and the Mexican real estate system.  He listened to our needs and found us the most amazing home.  He was very responsive, helpful, answered all our questions, and made a very difficult deal (with multiple offers) happen for us.  We now own our dream home in MX.  You will not find a better or more honest agent in Mazatlan.  While most agents disappear after the closing, Shaun was there afterwards to help us with additional questions and concerns.  Shaun is truly a 'one-of-a-kind' agent who works tirelessly for his clients.  He and his team are amazing!!!"

Logistics and Distribution Center Inaugurated

State and municipal authorities, businessmen and public officials, recently inaugurated the Logistics Center and Integral Distribution (LDI) in the southern part of Mazatlan. Featuring an investment of over 110 million pesos, the center aims to boost economic growth of the city to attract more businesses and create jobs for citizens.

Both the Mayor of Mazatlan, Carlos Felton Gonzlez, and the State Governor Mario Lopez Valdez, were in attendance and reiterated their commitment to work, in coordination with employers, so that there is increased private investment in the port that will translate into jobs and other improvements for the citizens of Mazatlan.

Third Carl's Jr is Open!

The third out of a planned four Carl's Jr. Restaurants have now opened in Mazatlan.

Currently, the three branches open are at the airport, Gran Plaza, and Marina Ave. across from Home Depot with the fourth to be in the Golden Zone beside Gus Gus.

The new restaurant on Marina Ave. has space for 186 people, 44 children in the playground and employs just over 50 people, according to Ned Lyerly, president of CKE Restaurant International Holdings.

This international chain is just one of many recently making investments in Mazatlan. In fact, a total of 5,000 million pesos has been invested in the municipality so far this year with that number expected to increase to 10,000 million pesos, an amount similar to last year, according to the Municipal Secretary of Economic Development, Hilda Fumiko Inukai Sashida. The city is growing rapidly and shows no sign of slowing soon. In related news, hotels are already over 75% capacity for the summer.

Dia de la Musica 2015

June 6 was the date for this yearly free event.
Located on 6 stages scattered around Centro Historico and Olas Altas, this street party featured over 6 hours of music by 20 bands, as well as a urban art exposition.

Everything from opera to heavy metal was enjoyed by record crowds despite the muggy weather. This is, arguably, one of the best events that Mazatlan has to offer. Make sure you catch this wonderful celebration next June!

Cathedral Organ To Be Remodeled

Located in Centro Historico, the Cathedral Baslica de la Inmaculada Concepcin, with its Gothic exterior, is unique in Mexico because it shows little sign of Spanish influence. The interior is a patchwork of design with its two altars decorated in the baroque style. It also boasts a Star of David in 28 of its stained glass windows, a very unusual feature for a Roman Catholic house of worship.

The jewel of the cathedral is the extraordinary organ built in Paris by the manufacturer Arstides Cavaillie (1811-1899) and was first played in 1889.

The organ has fallen into a state of disrepair over the years, but was recently awarded some money for a much needed restoration. Once repaired, it is expected to be a much visited piece of Mazatlan history.
