Mexico keeps humming along in the new year after a successful 2013. Pena has announced the financial reforms and has turned his eye to healthcare and poverty. The auto industry had a banner year and now Mazda is arriving on the scene. Changes are happening so rapidly in Mexico and Mazatlan, it is hard to keep up! Very exciting times to be here!
In local news, the new mayor, Carlos Felton, is not letting grass grow under his feet! He has announced his cabinet, has plans for the mercado and the municipal hall, appointed foreign residents to the DIF council, and is bringing back the neighborhood police booths. He's been a very busy man!
