Get Started in Therapy Dog Work
Could your dog provide affection and comfort to those who need it most? A good therapy dog must be friendly, patient, confident, gentle and at ease in all situations. That's a pretty tall order for our four-legged friends!
We often hear from pet parents who are interested in therapy dog work, but don't know how to get started. Join our trainers as we discuss the options available in our next live Google+ Hangout.
Wednesday, August 21
3pm-3:30pm
Can't join us live? The broadcast will be recorded and available for viewing on our YouTube channel.
Health & Nutrition in Dogs
Dry? Canned? Raw? Deciding on what to feed your dog can be confusing.
CanineLink's upcoming seminar Health & Nutrition in Dogs will navigate through various types of food, the pros and cons of each and how much to feed your dog. We will also discuss how to keep your dog healthy, the right type of exercise for your dog and how to tell if your dog is in need of a vet visit.

While the kids are getting ready to go back to school, you should consider the same for your dog. Our Summer II Classes begin next week!
Suki Graduates from Puppy Grade School
Even if you are the proud parent of a graduate like adorable Suki here, there's always a next step to training your dog.
From Puppy Pre-School to Puppy Grade School to Middle Management and beyond, AnimalSense has developed classes designed for dogs of specific ages so that you are likely encountering the same problems as the other pet parents in class.
For adults, any dog would benefit from our Focus: Distraction Training for the Real World class that teaches your dog that YOU are more important than the distractions they encounter every day. Get your dog's leash walking skills in shape in time for cooler weather and longer walks with our Leash Walkin' Around Town. If you have a dog that reacts to other dogs or people on leash, our Doggone Issues class provides solid solutions to dealing with this embarrassing behavior.
Our next session begins next week, so take a look at our Summer II classes and sign up today.
Don't see a class offered in your area yet? We'll come to you! Check out our in-home Private Training packages offered seven days a week to fit your schedule.

Free Wicker Park Fest Photos
We had such a great time at Wicker Park Fest this year. Thanks to everyone who visited our booth during that chilly summer weekend! We had lots of fun letting the dogs bob for hot dogs and pose for pictures by Off the Leash Photography.

Fiver is Appropriately Named
AnimalSense loves our clients so much that we want to share their awesomeness with you. We're profiling them in our newsletters, on our website and through our social media channels. So, keep an eye out for your dog, who could be in the spotlight next!
Meet Fiver. This 7-month-old Husky/Poodle mix (seriously!) is a graduate of our Puppy Grade School class. He is named after a character in the book "Watership Down." He was also the 5th born in the litter and the 5th (and last) puppy sold.
Fiver's parents Jami and Scott answered these questions for us:
How did your dog come to be a part of your family?
We'd been looking for a dog for a while, going to shelters, etc. We happened on the website of a breeder who lived on a farm in Southern Kentucky. We traveled down for a meet-and-greet
and he was irresistible... we knew this was THE dog.
What are you hoping to achieve by training?
A well-trained dog-family is a happy dog-family.
What's the most valuable thing you've learned in class so far?
