New 2013 Guide to Kyle is out!
Each year the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce receives hundreds of requests from visitors, newcomers, HOA's, and tourism centers for information about our "Simply Charming" city. The Kyle Chamber meets these requests by mailing out relocation/visitors packets. This year we expect to mail out about 1200 relocation packets all over the country.
The Kyle Chamber is offering members the exclusive opportunity to promote in our relocation packets. The cost for a 1-year sponsorship is $250. Sponsors can provide promotional items such as brochures, flyers, calendars and other small, flat items you may wish to include in our packet. You may also include a welcome letter (on company letterhead) mentioning any discounts or special offers! Participants must provide 300 of each promotional item. For more information, please call 512-268-4220.

The Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce proudly features Lone Star Kettle Corn as this week's Member Monday! Lone Star Kettle Corn is a family business from Kyle that started in 2007. They have worked to perfect the salty/sweet treat that so many people have become addicted to over the years.
Mary Halenza, co-owner of Lone Star Kettle Corn, had this to say: "We can be found cooking on location at various venues around town including Sam's Club at Southpark Meadows, Central Texas Speedway, and many local festivals and school events. Several local stores carry our product including Sprouts, Greenling Online Delivery, Royal Blue Grocery, and Callahan's General Store.
We joined the Chamber to help us reach more businesses to use our services (grand openings, private events for employees, etc), we not only made business contacts, but made many new friends. The networking/socializing at the various events and the resources available to help our business have been fabulous. We look forward to many more years being a part of the Kyle Chamber as we grow."

Pedernales Electric Cooperative Celebrates 75th Anniversary
Tree Planting at Lyndon B. Johnson Boyhood Home to Honor LBJ's Efforts to Bring Power to the Hill Country
Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) in partnership with the National Park Service will host a ceremonial tree planting at the Lyndon B.Johnson Boyhood Home in Johnson City on Tuesday, April 2 at 10:30 a.m. to commemorate the Co-op's 75th anniversary and Johnson's leadership and effort to bring electricity to the Texas Hill Country. Representatives from PEC will be joined by Russ Whitlock, Superintendent of the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historic Park, to plant a magnolia and a cedar elm at the Boyhood Home. The trees replace plantings that were originally on the property, ensuring that the site accurately depicts the Johnson homestead and Texas lifestyle before rural electrification 75 years ago. PEC is the largest electric cooperative in the nation, serving more than 211,000 members across 8,100 square miles. The Cooperative is committed to serving its communities by providing excellent member service and safe, reliable energy at a competitive price and still operates by the seven cooperative principles upon which it was established.
