This week's featured member is DeVries Family Chiropractic! DeVries Family Chiropractic is the office of Drs. Eric & Wendy DeVries in Kyle, TX. We caught up with both doctors and asked them, "What value do you find in being a chamber member?"

Dr. Eric DeVries had this to say, "Joining the chamber was one of the first things we did before we even opened and we're glad we did. Without being members I don't think our business would be what it is today. The chamber has a lot to offer and many opportunities to get involved in the community, we took advantage of that and it made a difference in getting our business going.

Our practice focuses on family chiropractic, providing care for adults and children. Chiropractic is based on the fact that our nervous system controls every function in our body.  We evaluate each patient for subluxations (spinal misalignments) that can irritate nerves causing nervous system dysfunction. When subluxations are left untreated they can cause symptoms like headaches, back and neck pain, and even high blood pressure. Our goal is to correct those subluxations to reduce nervous system interference and restore health."

Social Media Will Play a Crucial Role in the Reinvention of Business
Corporations, for the most part, aren't going to reinvent themselves by improving on the core competencies they've been honing for years. Instead, if they're going to change, they're going to do so from the outside in, allowing ideas from the edge of the company to penetrate to the core. Social media will be a part of that transformation.
If all this sounds too abstract, consider Xerox's Palo Alto Research Center in the 1970s. Because it was on the company's fringe, PARC had the freedom to be radical, and it came up with a lot of radical ideas, many of which have become organic to the way we all work, such as graphical user interfaces, Ethernet, WYSIWYG, SmallTalk, and laser printing.
