November 26, 2014

From now through the end of the year, we will keep our newsletter short and sweet. We still have a few exciting things planned, but mostly it's all about putting the perfect gift in your hands. Our booklet is here in the store, full of our picks for adults and kids of all ages, both books and unique gifts. Our wrapping paper and ribbon are stocked and our fingers are nimble.

Register your book club with Wellesley Books and receive an invitation to our Book Club Holiday Party on December 11th! Membership perks include year-round discounts on your book club titles and invitations to special events exclusively for book club members. Just call the store and sign up!

We appreciate your shopping at Wellesley Books. To thank you, beginning on Friday, November 28th, we will give you a 2015 Booklover's Page-a-Day Calendar when you spend $100.00 or more, or a Wellesley Books Totebag when you spend $150.00 or more. (While supplies last.)
Small Business Saturday -- the Saturday after Thanksgiving -- is a day to rally people to shop at local businesses. And this year local authors are again joining the celebration with the Indies First movement at local independent bookstores by working on Small Business Saturday. Wellesley Books will have Dara Goldman (10-12) Nichole Bernier (12-2pm) and Jenna Blum (2-4pm) on hand to assist you with your shopping and they might even gift wrap it for you! American Express cardholders will receive up to three $10 statement credits (on purchases of $10 or more) per registered card at a qualifying small business (like ours!). You can register your card beginning on Sunday, November 16th.

Cider Monday
Monday, December 1 isn't Cyber Monday - it's Cider Monday! Step away from your computer and visit Wellesley Books for free cider all day long. And remember, when you shop online you can still shop local on our website. Cider Monday is sure to overshadow Cyber Monday as THE shopping event of the year. Or at least make the store smell amazing while you shop!

We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves  by Karen Joy Fowler
Bill's Book Group for Guys is a relaxed evening in the store discussing a great book while enjoying a beer, glass of wine, or a select single malt whisky. $25 buys the book and a ticket to the event, including libations.

If you haven't started or picked up the book yet, it's a relatively quick and lively read. Looks like good reading weather over the next few days!
