Greetings!
We've got a lot to be thankful for here at Luscher Farm this Fall. Eagle Scout Michael Moxness and his crew built a beautiful cold frame and trellis for the children's garden, and they also replaced the border around the pizza garden. Part of the project was to install a rain barrel so we can use rainwater to irrigate the garden. Then the New Seasons Green Team spent four hours cleaning up the beds and installing the items Michael's crew constructed. Stop by and take a look at their handiwork.
Next we will be planting winter crops. It's not too late to plant fava beans as a cover crop. This magical plant produces edible greens, nutritious beans and fixes nitrogen in the soil!
Our popular Gingerbread Workshop is back. Sign up before it fills. The kids always have such a great time building their creations.
Kids in the kitchen is going strong. We have two more classes so be sure to check out the link below for the dates and menu items. The farmhouse kitchen is warm and cozy in the fall.
We also have one more Little Chefs class this Fall and the teens will be baking Thanksgiving pies. We're very excited about these new offerings and would love to see you here!
