Dec. 2013- In This Issue:

WHERE WE'VE BEEN

The month of November was a whirlwind of activity and the action hasn't slowed down in the least! We enjoyed spending time in Northern Idaho with many of their Farm Bureaus.  These are people who truly understand the importance of our public lands!  The Association of Oregon Counties and the Cascade Policy Institute also hosted us at their events.  It is exciting to see so many people spreading the truth about the Transfer of Public Lands.
PREPARATION

Much of our work at this time is focusing on the upcoming legislative sessions throughout the United States.  Last year five states passed legislation working towards a Transfer of Public Lands (TPL) and many western states are currently preparing legislation to work towards a TPL to the states. Some are following up on the assignments of their Task Forces from the 2013 legislative sessions. Also, there are many states in the East who are preparing Resolutions for their states in support of the TPL as they realize that all of our economies hinge upon each of the states being able to access their own resources.  We are working closely with many of these states to help them prepare their bills and educate those in their states about the facts.

MOVING RIGHT ALONG

In the month of December, we are spending time at the ALEC convention in Washington DC, working with legislators throughout the country.  We will also be doing a trip through Montana next week that will be loaded with meetings.  If you are in that area, please join us.  You should have received an email earlier this week with that schedule.  (If you need one, please reply to this email.) If we aren't going to be in your area this month, never fear!  We'll be back to MT in January!

December is always a special month.  We hope that you will gather your family near, show them your love, and remember that it is our children and grandchildren who need us to do this important work.  Thank you for standing by our side!
Thank you for your support!
