The EPA is at it again...or shall I say...still.  In an alarmingly bold move, they are striving to make their authority limitless by taking over what is left of America.  How?  Simple.  Through our water.

WATERS OF THE U.S.

There is a proposal that redefines federal authority over the water--and thus the lands--of the United States. The impact is best illustrated by the maps below. The Clean Water Act authority shown in the first map would be extended to the proposed Clean Water Restoration Act authority shown in the second map; essentially, a takeover of all land in the United States. This proposal has been in the works since at least October, 2006 when the second map was prepared for Rep. Oberstar by the Democratic staff of the Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure.  (To read the entire article, click here.)

Jurisdiction is the answer to this battle.  We must educate our leaders and our people about jurisdiction...where it resides and why it matters. We must restore the balance of power that our great nation was founded upon.  Truly, jurisdiction is the foundation of freedom.  If that foundation should be allowed to finish eroding away, we will surely crumble. 

As Thomas Jefferson so wisely said, "the Federal Judiciary; an irresponsible body (for impeachment is scarcely a scarecrow), working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little today and a little tomorrow, and advancing its noiseless step like a thief, over the field of jurisdiction, until all shall be usurped from the States, and the government of all be consolidated into one. When all government... in little as in great things, shall be drawn to Washington as the centre of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we separated. (1821)"

The Transfer of Public Lands Act is far more than a financial solution to our serious economic concerns today, though it is most assuredly that.  The constitution of our nation, as well as the individual enabling acts of each of our states, demands that we hold the line on our jurisdictional boundaries.  We must jealously guard our jurisdictional rights in order to ensure for our children the God-given rights our nation was designed to defend in the first place.
