This Week's Challenge:
  • Discover how theHybrid Car, Solar and Wind Industries rely upon the extraction of Metals and Minerals.
  • Share these facts with your elected officials.
  • Watch the GAO video below and discover just some of the potential for energy production in the West.

GAO: More Recoverable Oil in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming Than The Rest of the World Combined?

Greetings!

I always find it interesting when someone starts criticizing production of our metal/mineral resources, to ask them if they have a cell phone in their pocket, a computer for their work, or even a car in their driveway.  If people really knew how much their everyday lives depend upon metal/mineral production, they would think twice before wising to shut down that crucial industry.
"What about alternative fuel solutions, like Hybrid cars, Wind and Solar?", you ask.  Chances are, you'll be shocked when you realize just how much these industries depend on Metals and Minerals to function.
Please take the next 5 minutes and view the following three fact-sheets, produced by the Northwest Mining Association.  Then forward these easy-to-understand summaries to your local, state and federal policy-makers.
Explain to them that it's time we honor the promises made to the Western States in our enabling acts and transfer our public lands back to all willing Western States.
  • The promises are the SAME!
  • It HAS been done before!
  • This is The Only Solution Big Enough!

We continue to urge you not to be fooled by catchy, fear-inducing headlines or soundbites.  Take the few minutes it takes to discover the truth for yourself.  Investigate.  Ask questions.  It will pay off in understanding and the courage to stand up with the knowledge of truth.
