Greetings!

Maybe you are asking yourself, "WHY do I need to become a member of the American Lands Council.  After all, they seem to be doing fine without me."  Well, let me take this opportunity to tell you just why you need to stand up and put some skin in the game.

The federal government has overstepped its bounds in almost every aspect of American life.  The lands issue is simply one of the many ways in which they have convinced the people that they are "supreme", even though our constitution is clear that  the STATES are supreme in all aspects of life, other than the "few and defined" powers delegated to the federal government by the states upon our nation's founding.

Below are two pictures.  The first consists of the total amount of law passed by Congress in 2012.  Notice, it's not very big.  Why?  Because in order for an idea to become law, it has to pass the House, Senate and be signed by the President.  Passing this many checks and balances is difficult to do...by design.

The next picture is a complete collection of the 2012 Federal Register.  It is a list of all the new and updated rules and regulations, which must be followed by businesses, local and state governments, federal agencies and YOU!  The agencies and individuals that create and enforce these 82,349 pages are not accountable to the American people.

This regulation is suffocating the American economy and the ability of our farmers to farm, ranchers to ranch, businesses to thrive and people to enjoy the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness guaranteed in our Constitution.
Not convinced?  Watch this video and then ask Steve how important is it that we all stand united.

What difference does government regulation make?
A LOT.

This week, we hope you will take the time to:

  • Go to the American Lands Website and take the 5 minutes to join as an official member.
  • Call your local County Commissioners and ask them if your county has joined the American Lands Council.  26 counties already have.  Is yours one of them?
  • Think about who else you know who can contribute to this important cause.
We cannot afford to sit back and think that "someone else will do the heavy lifting".  We must stand together and we must do it now.
