Citizens National Bank President and CEO Sue Eno recently announced the promotion of Quinn C. Bonnett. Quinn C. Bonnett has been promoted to Banking Officer & Branch Manager of Citizens National Bank South Branch. Quinn was initially hired to work in collections before transferring to the credit department in 2013. In 2015 he was promoted to Loan Officer and also appointed bank-wide Security Officer. Quinn and his wife Liz were born and raised in Cheboygan and it is where they are happy to raise their children Araya and Piper. Citizens National Bank is a full-service community bank with locations in Cheboygan, Onaway, Mackinaw City, Pellston, Indian River, Alanson, Rogers City and Petoskey.

Local Harley-Davidson Dealership Recognized. Zips 45th Parallel Harley-Davidson dealership was invited to attend the Harley-Davidson dealer show in Boston this August as a Gold Bar and Shield award winner.  The Bar and Shield Award is the standard by which all Harley Davidson Dealerships world wide are evaluated and the Gold Award is the second highest level that can be earned.  There are only 21 awarded in the USA out of over 800 dealers! It is based on Customer Satisfaction, Service Satisfaction, Overall Dealer Experience, Financial Performance and adherence to Harley-Davidson core values.  The staff that were able to fly out had the honor of attending an awards program and dinner with Willie G Davidson himself.

The Harbor Springs Festival of the Book is this weekend!
The Festival takes place September 30th - October 2nd. Support Camp Daggett at Grandpa Shorter's this Saturday, October 1st from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a shopping day to benefit Camp Daggett. 
Twenty percent of all purchases will go to the C. G. and Ruth Shorter Memorial Scholarship Fund at Camp Daggett. Each year, Grandpa Shorter's Gifts designate two Saturdays to raise money for area youth for camp scholarships.  In 2015, they donated $2,231 to the Camp. Grandpa Shorters is located at 301 E. Special Hiring Event at Michigan Works in Petoskey on Thursday, October 6th with Jervis B. Webb Company of Harbor Springs.
They are adding a second shift and need to hire over 25 workers. The hiring event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Michigan Works! Center, 2240 Mitchell Park Drive. The hiring event will include on site interviews and possible job offers for positions including assemblers, welders, fabricators, and electricians. Little Traverse Bay Humane Society is partnering with the Bissell Pet Foundation on Saturday, October 22 for Empty the Shelters day which aims to find homes for over a 1,000 homeless animals statewide.
The Bissell Pet Foundation is covering all adoption fees and special AdoptBoxes will be given out with each adoption.  The event will take place at the shelter at 1300 West Conway Road in Harbor Springs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. LTBHS strongly encourages interested adopters to have their adoption application pre-approved prior to the event.
