PYSA Summer Invitational Tournament This Weekend!
It is Soccer Tournament time this weekend, June 17 through 19. The tournament is hosted by the Petoskey Youth Soccer Association.  Games begin Friday and continue through Sunday, mostly at the Click Road and River Road fields.  Close to 100-teams will be in town for the tournament.  Your chamber of commerce will once again provide concierge services to these guests at their information kiosk to be set up at the Click Road facility.  Chamber members who have special promotions for the soccer weekend, or would like to promote their businesses are welcome to supply us with brochures or flyers (25-50 copies is ideal).  Please deliver them to the chamber office by Friday at 2:00 p.m. or call 231-347-4150 with any questions. If your business has a marquee, we encourage you to share a message to welcome our soccer guests to our community.

Taking time to take care of yourself when you are a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and employee is usually the last thing on our minds.  The catch is if we keep putting ourselves last, eventually we won't be able to fill all those other roles that always come first.  Let's take time to talk about how health care has changed in regards to being a women over the years, what to look out for and how to take care of ourselves, with some helpful resources.

The Cost to attend is $15 for CWIB members and $20 for all others. Advanced registration is required. Please register online here. Register and pay by credit card.  Registration and networking begin on June 28 at 11:30 a.m. The lunch and presentation will begin at noon and end at 1 p.m.  The luncheon will be at the Library Conference Center of NCMC.

The lunch will be a Leaf Lettuce with Summer Berries, Walnuts, Feta Cheese, Bacon, and Red Onion.  It will be served with sliced chicken breast on the side, Rolls and Butter, and a Zesty Quinoa Salad.

Have Opinions About Local Air Service?
A survey is available for northern Michigan travelers who regularly fly.  The survey is offered by the Air Service Task Force of the Pellston Regional Airport and is available here or on the airport's official web site: www.pellstonairport.comThe survey should take about five minutes to complete and asks travelers about their flying habits and those factors influencing their decisions about what airports they choose.  The Air Service Task Force uses this information as they advocate for quality air service out of Pellston.  The task force is comprised of chambers and visitors bureaus from the northern Michigan communities of St. Ignace, Mackinac Island, Mackinaw City, Cheboygan, Indian River, Harbor Springs and Petoskey.
