The Leadership Little Traverse Class of 2016 was honored last night at a graduation ceremony at Stafford's Perry Hotel. The class completed its work last week at Trout Creek Condominiums where each of them presented their Personal Leadership Plans. This marked the end of a nine-month journey of personal leadership growth and expanded knowledge about the Little Traverse Bay region.
LLT is a program of the Petoskey Regional and Harbor Springs Area Chambers of Commerce. This marks the 17th graduating class of LLT which not boasts more than 240-alumni. Applications are now available for the LLT Class of 2017 at www.petoskeychamber.com.

Camp Daggett invites the public to participate in wonderful events this spring and summer, supporting scholarships for youth at camp and in the Adventure Center. McGulpin Point Lighthouse and Historic Site reopens for 2016 season on May 21st with new offerings that include a Discovery Trail that tells the story of this property over thousands of years. McGulpin Point will reopen at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, with closing time at 8 p.m. Beginning Sunday, May 22 and until the lighthouse closes in the fall, hours will be daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is by freewill donation. The Emmet County Relay For Life is on Saturday, May 21st, from 12 noon - 12 midnight. To honor cancer survivors and caregivers, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against cancer, the Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren Northern Michigan is hosting a Paint & Wine event to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. The Paint & Wine event will be at the Mackinaw Trail Winery located at 3423 US-131 Hwy in Petoskey, 6-9pm.
