The program will be led by Susie Johnson, a former Young American and a Television Production Coordinator who worked for Paramount Pictures Television Production for 30 years. Her credits include TV shows such as Cheers, Bob Newhart Shows, Girlfriends.
Susie will provide insight & tips on how to keep it classy in the work force, keep your ego intact, and how to always get the mustard right in business and in life!

Northern Michigan Sports Medicine Center (NMSMC) is announcing the opening of a physical therapy clinic on Lake Street in Boyne City in July 2016, located at 210 South Lake Street. The new clinic is 4573 square feet and features a large warm therapy pool, state of the art equipment, large gym, showers and locker rooms.
NMSMC is excited to bring aquatic therapy to Boyne City. Aquatic therapy in a warm pool is a proven and effective way to increase strength, range of motion and restore function quicker and with less pain for all patients. The warm water helps to decrease swelling, increase circulation, improve range of motion and provides a resistance necessary to strengthen weak muscles.
NMSMC is an outpatient facility, providing physical therapy, aquatic therapy, and athletic training service for rehabilitation of sport, spine, and joint injuries. Join the Headlands in celebrating the statewide Astronomy Night (SWAN) on April 15th! Camp Daggett will raffle off a Venture Isley 14 kayak as a fundraiser for its Adventure Center on April 26. The Outfitter of Harbor Springs donated the kayak, valued at $1,300, as part of the Kayak for a Cause on Walloon Lake, coming July 16-17, 2016. Proceeds from the raffle will support programs and scholarships for school students at the Camp Daggett Adventure Center. Raffle tickets are 1 for $10 or 3 for $25. 'The Mighty Mac: An Icon in Michigan' is the next Essence of Emmet program on April 27th, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Community Building at the Emmet County Fairgrounds in Petoskey. The story of one of Michigan's most recognized and beloved landmarks, will be the topic of the Essence of Emmet historical collaborative's Spring 2016 program. This is a free public event. On this evening, several speakers will offer insights and background on the Mighty Mac, and the public may have the opportunity to hear from several people who worked on the bridge's construction, during a Q & A session. The Last Good Country: Walloon Lake, An Ernest Hemingway Occasion presented by Hotel Walloon. Friday, April 29th, 2016 starts this three-day event featuring meet-n-greet with Valerie Hemingway, who was Ernest's personal assistant and daughter-in-law, John Cohassey, a Hemingway author and Chris Struble, President of Michigan Hemingway Society. Saturday includes tours of Horton Bay and Walloon Lake that will visit Hemingway's favorite haunts. That evening guests will enjoy a "Nick Adam's" Feast at the Walloon Lake Inn accompanied by tales of Hemingway. Top of Michigan Trails Council (TOMTC) is planning it's first-ever marathon utilizing the Little Traverse Wheelway on Saturday, May 28. The major event sponsor for this year's event is Stafford's Hospitality. The Memorial Day weekend marathon will be run primarily on the Little Traverse Wheelway, one of the Trails Council's premier routes along the shore of Little Traverse Bay. The event has been named "Stafford's Top of Michigan Community Marathon," because its course starts in Charlevoix, proceeds through Petoskey, and finishes in Harbor Springs, connecting three great northern Michigan communities. The recently-added 10K component starts runners and walkers in Petoskey at TOMTC's offices on M-119, and they finish with the marathoners in Harbor Springs. The City of Petoskey will begin collecting small yard wastes (materials raked from yards, flowers, shrub clippings, etc.) weekly, every Thursday, beginning April 7, through May 26, 2016.Please do not place small yard wastes loosely along streets or curb-and-gutter lines as they could be washed into storm sewers. Instead, place them in open, reusable containers that weigh less than 50 pounds. Such containers will be left behind by collectors. Please have yard waste placed within curb-lawn areas of rights-of-way no later than 8:00 A.M. on the day of collection. Grass clippings will not be picked up by collectors but can be delivered along with other small yard waste to the south side of Sheridan Street, directly across from the City's Public Works facility.
