Harbor Springs Ski Team hosts their annual Italian Dinner fundraiser at Nub's Nob in Harbor Springs from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 29th.Tickets are $10 each and include spaghetti, lasagna, salad, roll, cookie and soda. North Central Michigan College's luncheon lecture series for the winter 2016 semester begins on Friday, January 29th with a look at the state of Michigan roads. The program will be held in the College's Library conference room. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon. Brian Gutowski, engineer manager of the Emmet County Road Commission, will trace the history of Michigan's roads from the first native trails to the present day. He will explain how road work is funded in Emmet County and what improvements will result from a new state law that was passed to help get our roads fixed. Reservations are required.
