CTAC School of Ballet Presents "The Nutcracker" at the Harbor Springs Performing Arts Center.

Because of the rainy Sunday we just had, the caroling with First Presbyterian Church was rescheduled for Sunday, December 20th.
Join with us as we bring some holiday cheer to our downtown neighborhoods! We will meet at the church, 501 E Mitchell St, at 5:30p to grab some hot cocoa and then head out into our surrounding neighborhood to spread the gift of music to our neighbors. Can you say Quadrantid?
Better yet, do you know where this now-defunct constellation used to be? Whether yes or no, you are invited to join Headlands staff for the first event of the 2016 starry night sky season: 'Tongue Twisting Star Names and Snowshoe Trail Hike.' The New Reformation Jazz Band with Dave Oppermann, Bandleader will perform on the Crooked Tree Arts Center - Petoskey stage Saturday, January 9th at 7:30 p.m.
  The group has given thousands of performances worldwide in its 45 years playing traditional jazz, the only art form considered by many to be original to America. 
Traditional jazz encompasses a variety of styles including Dixieland, ragtime, blues, big band and swing, all of which will be showcased during the concert. North Central Michigan College's luncheon lecture series for the winter semester returns,
beginning on Friday, January 29th.  A wide variety of topics will be featured: the history of Michigan's roads, the clarinet, El Niņo and La Niņa, women magicians, Stephen Brede's 3,800-mile Great Lakes solo voyage, presidential election preview and climate change. All programs in the winter series will be held on Fridays in the College's Library conference room. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon.

Mary Reilly, yoga instructor and owner of North Woods Yoga is currently studying yoga in Pune, India.
