Petoskey's Festival on the Bay presents their 1st Annual Amateur Grilling Competition on Saturday, August 15 from 3-5 p.m. This event is designed for 10 teams. Amateur backyard enthusiasts will be able to show off their skills and win prizes. During the event, the public is welcome to purchase "punch cards" to sample each team's preparations. Deadline to be a BBQ Grill Participant is Friday July 31st. Downtown Petoskey 50th Anniversary, Sidewalk Sales Days are Friday and Saturday! 
Great new addition of a Ferris Wheel on the corner of Mitchell and Waukazoo! Sidewalk Sales will be held on July 31 and August 1 with the traditional hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. 

In addition to the lure of great bargains in an outdoor festival environment, Sidewalk Sales will also provide entertainment for the entire family with all kinds of activities.

Save the Date for the Regional BAH at Legs Inn - Aug. 26th

The Next Business After Hours is August 26th at Legs Inn in Cross Village from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Business After Hours is a well-attended "end-of-the-work-day" networking event designed to help participants make new business contacts, develop potential new customers, and build exposure for their businesses. The Regional Business After Hours at Legs Inn is a much anticipated event, as it is a joint Business After Hours, with Harbor Springs, Cheboygan and Mackinaw City Chambers participating. Admission cost is $7 for members; $12 for not-yet members.

Register Now for the 20th Annual Chamber Golf Outing!

Registration is now open for the 20th Annual Chamber Golf Outing for teams that participated last year. 

 Teams that did not participate last year can complete and return the registration form right away and be added to a waiting list. After Aug. 14 the number of team openings will be determined and those spots will be filled from the wait list.

This years event takes place Thursday, September 17, 2015 and will be hosted by Petoskey Bay View Country Club.

Registration opens at 11:00 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m. Cost per foursome is $400 and includes box lunch, 18 holes and cart, driving range balls, heavy appetizers, door prizes, raffle chances, live auction and awards ceremony.

RTOC Honored for Win by Losing 

Officials from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan were in town recently to present awards to the staff members at Rasmussen Teller O'Neil and Christman, P.C. who participated in the Win by Losing weight-loss competition.  The RTOC team took top honors in the local competition earning each team member a $50 gift card from Boyne Resorts.  The team also placed first statewide in the ten and under category earning the team a trophy, t-shirts and other gifts from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.  During the two-month competition, team members from RTOC lost 92.8 pounds for a percentage loss of 6.6%.  Manthei, Inc. was previously recognized for taking first place statewide in the 11-29 category.  In all, 18-Petoskey area teams lost 1,661 pounds.  Win by Losing is hosted locally by the Health Care Task Force Committee of the Petoskey Regional and Harbor Springs Area Chambers of Commerce and is structured through the framework of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan statewide competition.
