Get ready for another wonderful Petoskey 4th of July holiday! Discover great things to see and do throughout the day. The Petoskey Eagles have their annual car show from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. You can also catch The Antiques at the Fairgrounds from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The Parade begins at 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Hill Street and Kalamazoo Avenue and will proceed down East Mitchell Street, to Petoskey Street, to East Lake Street and will end at Pennsylvania Park. After the Parade enjoy an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social at the Little Traverse History Museum and Live Music at the waterfront. Shortly after dusk, a fireworks celebration has been scheduled in Bayfront Park, sponsored by the Petoskey Stars and Stripes Committee. In observance of the July 4 Independence Day holiday, City of Petoskey offices will be closed on Friday, July 3. City staff have prepared for additional activities at Bayfront Park that will conclude Saturday evening at dusk with the annual fireworks display.

On Friday, July 3rd enjoy the sights and sounds of the amazing Petoskey Steel Drum Band as they perform on the Marina Lawn Panel. Emmet County Sportsman's Club will be open ALL WEEKEND - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday our usual hours 11 - 5. Blissfest, Northern Michigan's award winning folk, roots and world music festival, will take place July 10th-12th, at the Blissfest Festival Farm near Cross Village.
The 35th Annual Blissfest is a celebration of music, culture, art and community featuring a world of diverse and innovative folk, world and roots music and dance at the 120 acre Festival Farm in scenic northern Michigan. It is an unequaled weekend of music immersion to be shared with families, friends and music-lovers of all ages. Headlining this year's festival will be Arlo Guthrie with his 50th anniversary Alice's Restaurant Tour.

Camp Daggett invites kayakers - both beginner and advanced - to join the team at the 7th annual Kayak for a Cause on Walloon Lake, Saturday and Sunday, July 18th-19th from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day.
