Hospitality The Little Traverse Way training session for Front Line Staff takes place on June 25th at the Hampton Inn, Petoskey. This is a fantastic opportunity for front-line staff as well as business owners and managers; this seminar is applicable to all types of businesses. Registration begins at 8:30 p.m. with a continental breakfast. Session begins at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude by 11:30 p.m.

Hospitality the Little Traverse Way teaches the fundamentals that have been practiced in our region for more than 100-years. Attendees will learn the history of our hospitality culture followed by a three-step process that will inspire them to elevate their service approach to something that is extraordinary...or even priceless!

The Spring Soccer Tournament will take place in Petoskey June 12 through 14. The tournament is hosted by the Petoskey Youth Soccer Association.  Games begin Friday and continue through Sunday, mostly at the Click Road and River Road fields.  Close to 100-teams will be in town for the tournament.  Your chamber of commerce will once again provide concierge services to these guests at their information kiosk to be set up at the Click Road facility.  Chamber members who have special promotions for the soccer weekend, or would like to promote their businesses are welcome to supply us with brochures or flyers (50 copies is ideal).  Please deliver them to the chamber office by Friday at 2:00 p.m. or call 231-347-4150 with any questions. If your business has a marquee, we encourage you to share a message to welcome our soccer guests to our community.

Gallery Walk

The art world will descend upon Downtown Petoskey for its sixteenth annual Gallery Walk. This evening of art and entertainment has definitely become a community tradition.

Participating art galleries will greet guests on the third Thursday in June, June 18, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in an open-house format and offer delights for your eyes, ears, and taste buds. Many of the galleries will have the artists present to introduce their works.

Concerts in the Park 

Join in the tradition at Pennsylvania Park at the Gazebo each Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday at Noon. In cases of inclement weather, concerts will be performed one block east in the CTAC Theater inside the Crooked Tree Arts Center, 461 E. Mitchell Street. Downtown Farmers Market 

Stop by and see a great variety of local farmers and fill your table with flavor! The Downtown Farmers Market is located on Howard Street between JC Penny's and Julienne Tomatoes and will be open from 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. each Friday until September 25th. Come and fall in love with fresh all over again!

 

The mission of the Downtown Petoskey Farmers Market is to promote the image and economic development of Downtown Petoskey and economic development within the local agricultural community, as well as to give those who grow, fish, forage, and harvest a place to be rewarded for their efforts.
