VOTE TODAY/ VOTE 'YES' ON PROPOSAL 1
Voters in Michigan will be going to the polls today, August 5th
to vote in the primary election.  Make sure you are among them.  This year's primary features some very key races in the region, so it is important that you get to your regular voting location to participate in the election.  While you're at the polls, the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce urges you to vote 'Yes' on Proposal 1.  The chamber, and its partners in the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance have researched this issue and endorse the reduction in personal property taxes for our member businesses as well as the stabilization of revenue streams for local units of government.  Learn more about Proposal 1 here:  http://chamber.petoskey.com/proposal-1-344/.

LLT Honors Bob Bleyaert

Leadership Little Traverse presented its Leadership Star Award to Bob Bleyaert of the Bank of Northern Michigan. 

The award celebrates great leadership in our community.  Previous recipients were Maureen Nicholson and Reezie DeVet.  Bob was honored at a luncheon on Friday for his leadership with numerous organizations in our community, most notably the Northern Michigan Regional Hospital Board of Trustees, the NCMC Board of Trustees, and the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Community Foundation Board of Trustees.  He was also lauded for his business leadership as the founder of the Bank of Northern Michigan.  Bob started the bank in 2000 which has grown to become an integral business in our community.  Pictured with Bob are LLT Steering Committee members Lisa Blanchard and Anne McDevitt.
