Hi Everyone, Just the other day we reported to you that the House Ways and Means Committee was considering a cap of the Mortgage Interest Deduction. Thanks to all of you who contacted your representatives to express your feelings on this important matter! Directly from the CEO of the Vermont Realtors: As of Friday, March 22, the House Committee on Ways and Means has removed the cap on MID from the bill. Your association has worked tirelessly to protect homeownership and to safeguard against legislation that would severely impact homeowners in Vermont. Please stay tuned to updates on this and other legislative issues.
