30th Adult Class Now Forming
 Applications and nominations are now being accepted for the 30th Adult Leadership Program, which will begin in September. This will be an exciting year as we gear up for our 30th anniversary.
The ten-month program is designed for participants to learn more about La Porte County, sharpen their professional and personal leadership skills, and so much more! It's an unforgettable experience. Please share this opportunity with your friends and coworkers.

Congratulations to James Dworkin, Chancellor at Purdue University North Central on his selection as the recipient for the 2nd annual Ned E. Kalbe Leadership Award. Dworkin was presented the award at the Purdue Extension Annual Dinner in March.
The joint sponsors of the award are the Purdue Extension Office of La Porte County and Leadership La Porte County, two organizations that Ned Kalb impacted.

Class #29 Graduation - May 23
 Mark your calendar and save the date for our "Graduation" Luncheon for this year's Leadership Class, Thursday, May 23, 11:30 am - 1 pm at Pottowattomie County Club. We'll also announce this year's Robert Hiler Jr. Outstanding Alumni Award winner. Members of the current class are invited at no charge. Guests and community members are encouraged to attend. High School Students attend Leadership training
High school students from throughout LaPorte County recently completed our High School Leadership program. The students sharpened their leadership and team building skills, learned about their community, and made new friends. Many guest speakers participated in our sessions, including Gerrie Grott, Sonshine Troche, Dr. Glade Montgomery, Dr. Barbara Eason Watkins, Sheriff Mike Mollenhauer, and Detective Andy Hynek. Facilitators for the program were Jim Jessup, Dick Reel and Monica Komasinski. Thank you to Mary Foell from Purdue Extension for her help as well!
