Leadership La Porte County Youth (LLCY) is conducting a fundraiser to benefit youth programming at Leadership
La Porte County. They are selling items from LaBraid Company, located in La Porte County.
Butter Braid® pastries are frozen hand braided pastries filled with a variety of mouthwatering fillings. Just thaw, rise and bake.
Classic Breaks™ is a frozen gourmet cookie dough offering a homemade taste for families on the go with the latest trend in freezer to oven convenience.
Each item sells for $12.
Orders are being accepted now through Feb. 25th. Items must be picked up at the Leadership office on March 14 between 5pm-6 pm.

Alumni Council now forming
Attention all alumni of our leadership program! We are seeking individuals who may be interested in meeting with us to share feedback on programming ideas, upcoming events, and other happenings at Leadership La Porte County.
This group would meet on a regular basis (perhaps monthly initially) to help us re-engage alumni with the community and with our organization. An informational meeting has been set for Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from Noon - 1 pm at the Leadership Office located at the Depot, 809 Washington St. Bring your own lunch and hear more about our plans! Chick Fil-A Leadercast May 10, 2013
Leadership La Porte County is pleased to announce a partnership with Trudy Menke, Independent Certified Teacher, Speaker & Coach of The John Maxwell Team to bring the Chick Fil-A Leadercast to La Porte County for our site's second year. The event will take place Friday, May 10 at the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center in La Porte. Corporate Sponsors are being sought for this unique broadcast.

Ned E. Kalb Leadership Award

Nominees are being sought for the second annual Ned E. Kalb Leadership Award, now through March 1. Ned Kalb was a true leader in La Porte County for many years. He passed away on Nov. 19, 2011, and a new county award was instituted last year to honor and memorialize his life and deeds in La Porte County and beyond. The Ned E. Kalb Leadership Award will annually recognize a quiet, behind-the-scenes leader in La Porte County.
The joint sponsors of the award are the Purdue Extension Office of La Porte County and Leadership La Porte County, two organizations that Ned Kalb impacted.
