Red Cross Blood Drive on Salina Campus
A Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on the K-State Salina campus September 11 and 12. Students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to signup for an appointment to donate. Signup sheets are available in the Library. The drive will be held in the Tech Center, room STC 139.

Flu Shot Clinic
State of Kansas Flu Shot Clinic will be Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 9:00am to Noon in the College Center Conference Room.K-State Salina will be hosting a free flu shot clinic for the State of Kansas employees. Your spouse may also receive a free flu shot, if they are covered by your State of Kansas health insurance plan. Please note that this clinic is not geared for children's vaccinations. K-State Shred Day is Oct. 15
K-State is planning its annual Shred Day for university paper records. The event is scheduled 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 15, on the Salina campus. The loading area will be in the service and delivery area between the east and west wings of the Technology Center. Departments that cannot bring their documents to the loading area at that time can contact Information Systems at 785-826-2666.Departments will be asked to place paper documents with personal identity information - such as Social Security numbers, birth dates, credit card numbers, etc. - in designated bags to be delivered to the truck at the above location.For security reasons, do not leave collection bags or materials for shredding unattended in the hallways. Departmental contacts will be asked to sign an authorization document giving permission to Document Resources Inc. to accept, destroy and recycle materials.Documents to shred include:- Scantron forms- Greenbar grade sheets- Rosters printed from K-State Online, iSIS, SIS, etc.- Student papers with personal identity information and grades- Data with credit card information- Personnel files- Other sensitive papers with identity or financial informationBefore destroying any documents, departments should review the Retention of Records policy. The length of time to retain specific documents is available from the Records Retention and Disposition Schedule.
