TANNER WILLIAMS VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT FIRE DISTRICT VOTE

When: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 31

Where: Tanner Williams Historical Building, 13701 Tanner Williams Road, Wilmer

The TWVFD has proposed a fee increase, pending voter approval, for citizens receiving fire and rescue services within the Tanner Williams Fire District. According to TWVFD Chief Tim Chimento, the increase will provide the critical funding necessary to support fire safety and emergency medical assistance for citizens. The additional funds will allow the purchase of much needed resources for fire safety such as turnout gear, firefighter certification and rescue training, expansion of facilities, and more effective fire safety vehicles. Such improvements will lower emergency response times thereby attributing to a potential reduction in homeowners' insurance rates.

For more information contact TWVFD Chief Tim Chimento 751-5027.
