Please accept my best wishes for a safe, healthy and happy 2015! May you and your family enjoy bountiful blessings in the new year.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve you as the District 2 representative on the Mobile County Commission. I look forward to continuing efforts to positively impact the quality of life, safety, infrastructure, and economic climate within Mobile County for all of our citizens in 2015.

CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING
When: Now through Wednesday, January 7
Keep Mobile Beautiful will once again be collecting Christmas trees for recycling into mulch. Drop your tree off at one of the following locations through January 7. Remember to remove the stand, lights, ornaments and tinsel. MOON PIE OVER MOBILE
When: 6 p.m. to midnight New Years Eve, Wednesday, December 31, 2014 Where: Downtown Mobile, Click Hereto view an event map
Downtown Mobile is the place to be for New Year's Eve fun. The MoonPie drops from the top of the RSA Trustmark Building at midnight, but there's lots of fun to be had before that. Come to Bienville Square at 7 p.m. for children's activities and live music by The Voice's Cary Laine and Muscle Shoals recording artist Holli Mosley. The Sons of Funk New Era will be performing in the Renaissance Riverview Hotel courtyard at 7 p.m. with the cutting of the world's largest edible MoonPie, courtesy of Chattanooga Bakery, at 8 p.m. Then join in the Second Line from the hotel to the St. Francis Street stage, where Mayor Sandy Stimpson and Council Vice President Fred Richardson will kick off the main stage entertainment. Evelyn "Champagne" King takes the stage at 9:00 and the Village People take over at 11:00 to take us into the new year!

2015 GODADDY BOWL EVENTS
GREER'S MARKETS & CASH SAVERS/AL.COM MARDI GRAS PARADE
When: 6:30 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015
Where: Downtown Mobile
A Mardi Gras parade will be held in the streets of downtown Mobile featuring floats and throws for the crowd, local high school marching bands, and the bands and cheerleaders from each participating bowl team. Immediately following the Mardi Gras parade, a fireworks display over the Mobile River will highlight the festivities and set the tone for the official pre-game pep rallies and street party.
16TH ANNUAL GODADDY BOWL
When: 8 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015
Where: Ladd-Peebles Stadium, 1621 Virginia Street, Mobile
A national television audience will tune in to ESPN on January 4, for the 16th Annual GoDaddy Bowl, featuring the University of Toledo (Mid-American Conference) who will face off with Arkansas State University (SunBelt Conference). The GoDaddy Bowl has built a reputation for fielding some of the most competitive and exciting games of the bowl season. The game has featured incredible performances by future NFL standouts LaDanian Tomlinson, Byron Leftwich and Ben Roethlisberger.
