This is a BIG weekend for GSSI: the official migration of all our data to the new online system will be completed.  Next week staff will be validating and testing the data.  Between August 5 and 8, all current members will be invited to login to the Member Community where parents and caregivers can manage their girl membership and co-leaders can access their troop management system.  The member community also provides access to the Volunteer Toolkit!

Volunteer Resources
Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints
GSUSA has recently updated these critical resources.  GSSI is currently in the process of customizing them.  Until the new editions are uploaded to the Website, continue to use the 2015-2016 editions.

GSSI Forms
Forms are still under review.  Most remain unchanged other than instructions on returning them to support@girlscouts-gssi.org, instead of specific departments or individuals.  We are evaluating ways to make the forms even easier to use and submit.

Group Finance Report DUE!
Troops/Service Units/Clusters:
Don't forget to turn in your 2015-2016 Finance Report, along with copies of your monthly bank statements.  If you maintain a detailed check register on other software (ex. Excel) simply  attach that to the form - no need to reenter the registry information.   You may turn in the reports to any staff member or email (with scans of bank statements) to support@girlscouts-gssi.org

Building Use Agreements and Contracts
Remember that all building use agreements and contracts should be signed by the council so that we assume the liability and not you.  Simply submit completed forms electronically to support@girlscouts-gssi.org or bring/mail to the office.

Bank Accounts - Changing authorized signers
If you need to change authorized signers on an existing bank account, submit this request  providing information on the account and the desired signers. We will provide you with the required form to take to the bank.

Pat on the Back

GSSI has so many great volunteers and staff who are generous with their time and talent! A big thank you goes to:

Melissa Ruschau, for making the North Dubois Day Camp an amazing, organized, and fun experience for girls and volunteers. (from Jayme Buechler & ND day camp volunteers)

Stephanie Lightner, staff Camp Director, Ranger Frank Spangler, and the generous Camp volunteers, for an incredible resident camp program.  The girls had tons of fun and were able to do things they normally would not have been able to.  This will be a summer to remember!  Over x girls stayed at camp three or more night, and over 100 participated in the Adventure Day!  (from GSSI staff)

Volunteerism Advisory Group!  Your input and feedback into our volunteer onboarding and training processes is greatly appreciated.  Your advice will help us provide better support to all volunteers.
(from Margaret Dennis, GSSI staff)

Cookie Advisory Board! Thank you for  your invaluable ideas and suggestions on improving our cookie program. (from Melissa Rynnkiewich and Margaret Dennis, GSSI staff)

Would you like to give a "Pat-on-the-Back" to a special person who went that extra mile or stepped in to help without being asked? Send an email to Margaret with the name of the volunteer or staff member and how she/he helped out.
