Our URL, www.girlscouts-gssi.org will remain the same, BUT many links in this week's newsletter will no longer work after we switch to the new site on Monday afternoon.

Volunteer Resources

Honor & Golden Honor Troops
This program recognizes troops that achieve the Essential Elements of a Girl Scout Troop and provide overall excellence in troop management and programming in a given year. To achieve this honor, leaders and girls must work in partnership with each other, other troops, Service Team, and council staff.  Applications are due June 15. Troops will be announced in the newsletter and at the Fall Volunteer Kick-Off.

Troop and Girl Data
Do you know if GSSI has accurate information on your troop and girls?  Let's check!  Troop support specialists will be contacting each troop leader to request that they review the information.  After you have verified, updated, or requested that staff update records, you must notify us.  Your troop will be entered into a drawing for a Katie's Korner gift certificate!!

Pat on the Back
GSSI has so many great volunteers and staff who are generous with their time and talent! A big thank you goes to:

Mike Gunderloy, for donating his professional Web design services to help with Web platform migration.  I couldn't have done it without him!! (from Margaret Dennis, CEI Project co-leader)

Kim Mehringer, for organizing the January N. Dubois Lock-In
(from Melissa Ruschau, North Dubois volunteer)

Troops 47 & 60, for volunteering at the Special Someone Dance in Jasper during a February snow storm! (from Kathy Messmer,  troop leader)

Troop 357 and its leaders, Julie Schutz and Terri Hollinden, for ROCKING the Bronze Award!   Residents at the Timbers Assisted Living Facility in Jasper LOVEd the games, bingo prizes, and holiday caroling; and look forward to the flowers that will bloom in their garden this spring. (From your friends at the Timbers.)

Kathy Seckinger, for helping answer a question about a troop from many years ago!

Would you like to give a "Pat-on-the-Back" to a special person who went that extra mile or
stepped in to help without being asked? Send an email to Margaret with the name of the volunteer or staff member and how she/he helped out.
