Since 1916, Girl Scouts have been making meaningful, sustainable change in their communities and around the world. The Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout can earn, acknowledges the power behind each recipient's dedication not only to empowering and bettering herself, but also to making the world a better place for others. SENIOR AND AMBASSADOR GIRL SCOUTS: Girls interested in earning the Gold Award during this special centennial year must complete their projects by September 30, 2016. However, to be recognized at this year's special Centennial Award Dinner in May, girls must complete their projects by March, 2016. Use the links below to get started on your Gold Award journey now! Register for a Gold Award training on September 12, 9am-12am, as part of Volunteer Fest (and attend any afternoon sessions, if desired). PAST GOLD AWARD RECIPIENTS We are looking for past First Class/Eaglet/Gold Award recipients living in our council area. Contact Pat Bateman at [email protected].

GSSI has so many great volunteers and staff who are generous with their time and talent! A big thank you goes to:
Kaitlyn Hollman, University of Evansville student and GS volunteer, for her assistance at the council office.
Would you like to give a "Pat-on-the-Back" to a special person who went that extra mile or stepped in to help without being asked? Send an email to Margaret with the name of the volunteer or staff member and how she/he helped out.
