GSSI has so many great volunteers and staff who are generous with their time and talent! A big thank you goes to:

All of the community partners and volunteers who made GSSI's Spring Event possible. You all worked so hard on your activity stations, and the girls absolutely loved them! Thank you, Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center, Master Gardeners, Ron and Elisha Belwood, Torrey Sweetser, Wesselman Nature Society, Angel Mounds State Historic Site, SWAT Pest Control, Jeff and Jacob Hubbs, ChunJiDo International, Alisha Aman, Evansville Otters, Tee Time, Painting with a Twist, Evansville Fire and Police Departments, Angela Johnson, Paul Blaylock, and the  American Cancer Society and Cordero Ussery! You all ROCK! (from Kara Messersmith, Dir. of Program Development)

Mike Gunderloy, Amber Elkins and Andrew Martin, of Cultural Resource Analysts, Inc., and their team, for conducting the archaeological dig this Sunday at Camp Koch. Their findings will be displayed when they are returned from CRA and analysis. Artifacts located included crockery, brick, and glass items that date back to the Lehman period, other items that clearly are from earlier Girl Scouts (including a piece of an old hair curler), and one prehistoric stone tool.(from Angie King, Dir. of Membership and Community Development)

Suzanne Hunter and Susan Longest, GSSI's Board of Directors' 2nd Vice Chair and President, for their participation in the Highest Awards Dinner presentations.  (from Kara Messersmith, Dir. of Program Development)

Would you like to give a "Pat-on-the-Back" to a special person who went that extra mile or stepped in to help without being asked? Send an email to Margaret with the name of the volunteer or staff member and how she/he helped out.
