GSSI has so many great volunteers and staff who are generous with their time and talent! A big thank you goes to:

North Dubois volunteers, for organizing a fun and successful recruitment night. Special kudos to Jennifer Verkamp, for her willingness to spearhead a different type of event.(from Angie King & Margaret Dennis)

Kim Collignon, Georgianna Judy, and Jen Verkamp, for stepping up in their areas even more than usual during the staff membership transition. Your organization and passion have been inspirational! (from Angie King)

Troop 43 leader Kathy Griffin, for taking the lead for the troop again this year. As a single, full-time working mom, your plate is full at home, at work & at play...yet you make time to deliver a great program to girls. Thanks! (from Vicky Berneking and the rest of troop 43)

Southwest Warrick volunteers, for their hard work in leading an exciting recruitment night!  (from Natalie Wade)

Would you like to give a "Pat-on-the-Back" to a special person who went that extra mile or stepped in to help without being asked?  Send an email to Margaret  with the name of the volunteer or staff member and how he/she helped out.  Pats-on-the-Back will be published in each issue of this eNewsletter.

On-time Registration

Remember that the Girl Scout year is October 1 - September 30. Has your troop re-registered for this year, 2014-2015? Troop leaders will be able to access their troop rosters online as long as they have renewed their membership and have taken the required training update.  Contact your membership recruiter if you have any questions.

Online Membership System

Are YOU taking advantage of GSSI's online membership system?

FAMILY Management

Family managers can view their contact information, purchase and/or renew memberships for family members, register for council events, print membership cards, and more.

TROOP Management

All 2013-2014 leaders (01s) can manage their troop online!  You can see which girls have renewed their membership for 2015, print rosters, edit member contact information, register yourself or other troop members for council events or adult learning opportunities, renew memberships, etc.

New leaders or troops with new members may need additional assistance.  Contact your membership recruiter.

Important note for troop leaders concerning end-of-membership-year from GSUSA:

"In order to access their troop rosters online, all membership renewals must be processed by 11:59 pm Eastern Time.   Members will "fall off" the roster at 12:00 am on September 30th of the membership year. Family Managers will still be able to reregister family members from "My Family" on September 30."

What this means is that as of September 29, 10:59 Central, troop leaders will only be able to see current (2013-2014) girls who have reregistered for this new year (2014-2015). Important: Leaders will NOT be able to access any of the information on girls previously in their troop so be sure to renew their memberships early or remind their parents to do so before the end of the month.
