Caregivers Survival Guide:  Women's Day Magazine

You can only care for another person as well as you care for yourself. Imagine yourself as a parent on a faltering plane. When the oxygen masks drop, you put yours on first, then your child's. The same thing goes for a caregiver. To be a good care manager, you need to take care of your own health.  Caregiver Survival Guide

Guiding Lights:
How Do You Do All That?
One of the most frequent questions that we receive at Guiding Lights is: "How do you do all of this for family caregivers?".  We would not have been able to assist the 3000+ caregivers over the past 24 months if it were not for the financial support that we have received from our community partners, funders, individual family caregiver donors and through the hard work and effort of the dozens of volunteers who have assisted us with our various fundraising projects.  You may have received an annual appeal letter from our offices recently.  Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Guiding Lights this  year.  It costs us $.43/minute to provide assistance to family caregivers.  On average our initial intake calls range between 45-90 minutes long.  To make a secure donation,  please follow the link below:
