Correction to e-newsletter of February 12, 2016

I think we may have overstated Sara Paretsky's role in the creation of Sisters in Crime in yesterday's Magna e-newsletter. It's almost unimaginable that Ms. Paretsky's achievements could be overstated, but we should have given credit to the entire group of women mystery authors who banded together after the New York Bouchercon (1983) to bring attention to what was perceived as a lack of respect for women writers, particularly in regard to advances, royalties, reviews, promotion, etc. Sara Paretsky was elected the first president. What can't be overstated is Paretsky's contributions to SiC which is still going strong now, nearly thirty years later!

Thank you, Molly Weston, Editor, inSinC, the Sisters in Crime Quarterly, for supplying the details of the history of this worthwhile organization.
