Lunch, program and fellowship all for just $4 per person.
All senior adults are welcome. If you DON'T normally attend B.A.L.L. Club but would like to join us for lunch, please email us and make a reservation.

Events for preschoolers and children at Applewood are not possible without our amazing volunteers! Even regular events like Sunday School and Wednesday night programs occasionally need new people and right now there are opportunities open. Please contact Mary Van Horn or Missy Kintzel to find out where you are needed most!

As I write this article, the United States Supreme Court is preparing to hear arguments over the issue of same sex marriage. It is incomprehensible to believe that our country has morally slipped so far so fast. We are truly living in days when people are doing whatever they deem right in their own eyes and trying to redefine what is right and wrong for the rest of us as well.

 

This speaks loudly to who we are as a church and to the mission God has called us to accomplish. God has called us to be salt and light in a rapidly decaying culture.  Read more...

Senior Adult Day Luncheon - Sunday, May 3, 12:30 PM

This luncheon and special program are to honor our senior adults.  The guest speaker is Mark Edlund, Executive Director of the Colorado Baptist General Convention, plus there will be special music by our men's quartet, reports from some ministry leaders, and lunch. All seniors welcome! There is NO charge for this special luncheon

 

Revival and Prayer Service - Sunday, May 3 at 5:00 PM

Ladies...Reduce Clutter and Help Feed the Hungry

(Donated items will be picked up on May 7.)

We are collecting your gently-used party dresses, prom dresses, evening gowns, handbags and jewelry. These items will be taken to Guatemala and sold by a ministry which creates jobs and feeds the hungry.  A collection spot is set up in the south foyer.

Summer/Fall Mission Opportunities

Cuba - Interest meeting Sunday, May 31, 12:30 PM - Come find out more about a possible trip to Cuba, then eat lunch at the Student Spaghetti Lunch Fundraiser! 

 

Belarus - Volunteer and start to pray for the upcoming ESL mission Trip to Gomel, Belarus this summer, July 3-18. If you have questions or want to go please contact Bill Paschall or Bob Oxford. Brochures are available here.

 

Hungary - There is an opportunity to teach in public schools in Hungary this summer from July 1-12.  This is a new project in conjunction with the International Commission, Jerry and Janice Byrd.  Hungary is experiencing Revival and needs more people interested in telling the lost about Jesus.  

 

Romania/Serbia - A mission trip to Romania/Serbia in late October/early November is on the drawing board.

Women's Summer Bible Studies - Host a Study!

Ladies, are you interested in hosting a Bible study in your home? Our Women's Ministry has many video-driven Bible studies by great teachers, and you would be welcome to choose one to use. You could pick the day and time, the exact start date, invite your friends and neighbors, and/or open it to church members. Email Missy for more info!

 

Student Mission Trip to Hotchkiss, Colorado, June 14-20 

This group of around 30 students is halfway through their training. Please pray for them as they continue their preparations. 

 

PEAK Kid's Camp, June 21-24

Ponderosa Conference Center, Larkspur, CO  

Just a few slots remain for Kid's Summer Camp, for kids currently in 3rd to 5th grades. Details and online registration here

 

Fuge Camp for Students, June 25-30

(Thursday-Tuesday) Student Camp at Glorieta Conference Center, Glorieta NM for kids who are currently in 6th-12th grades. The 2015 Theme is 'Alive and Free.' Details and online registration here
