NPMA's Women of Excellence Award recognizes women who advance the pest management industry every day, in every way.

Pesticides To Be Legal, Restricted

The Selinger government will treat dandelion-killing synthetic chemical pesticides like cigarettes -- legal to buy but illegal to use in some places. Conservation and Water Stewardship Minister Gord Mackintosh tabled the province's long-awaited pesticide legislation that allows Manitobans to purchase chemical pesticides, but only for use on their home flower and vegetable gardens. Suspicions are that the Tai Forest ebolavirus may have arrived in a fruit bat whose flesh might have come in contact with a human.
