Week 5: August 1, 2014

What a wonderful start to the 2nd 4 weeks we had! It was so much fun welcoming all of our new campers. The Navigators and CITs enjoyed a day at Camelbeach water park on Tuesday while the Mariners & Skippers watched an exciting Parkour Show by 5 Star Gymnastics. Travels continued to the movies, Medieval Times, Active Kidz and the Museum of Moving Image. Hats off to our 1st graders who put on a fantastic show Thursday night! Today we all pretended to be Mad Scientists while enjoying the Silly Sally and Mad Science shows.
Looking forward to next week as we launch Rolling River Gives Back! We hope to see everyone at Ralph's Ices Monday night when our Supervisors will be guest scooping! The Coin Harvest starts on Monday so remember to bring in your spare change for charity.
ENROLLMENT IS ALSO NOW OPEN FOR CAMP 2015! SAVE UP TO $400 OFF PER CHILD ON THE LOWEST FALL RATES OF THE YEAR IF YOU ENROLL BY AUGUST 25.

What a great start to the second half of camp! We can't believe 4 weeks have gone by so fast - we are having so much fun. After welcoming our newest Navigators on Monday, we hit the road for an awesome adventure at CamelBeach Water Park on Tuesday. The 7th and 8th graders enjoyed a trip to the movies on Wednesday, and while the 5th graders bounced at Active Kids on Thursday, the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders traveled to Medieval Times, where they enjoyed a meal and watched the knights spar on horses.
Today was Mad Science Day - we saved the best for last. The Navigators participated in an Egg Drop Contest! Each group worked created a special parachute to drop an egg from the Multi-Porpoise Room without breaking the egg. It was a great science lesson, and very egg-citing to see which group would come up with the best parachute design. We are really excited for next week, when we catch a Mets game, travel to Boston from Tuesday to Thursday for an (optional) overnight trip, and take off on more exciting adventures!
