June 2013
|

Ahoy families! As we welcomed our crew members for our staff orientation sessions last week, we were once again reminded of the passion and energy that each and every one of them brings to the table. There were tons of laughs and memories exchanged, but more importantly, we put the wheels in motion to give your children the best summer of their lives! We look forward to " seaing" you for our Camper Orientation or MEET YOUR MATEYS DAY on Saturday, June 22nd. Your child's orientation time, along with group information was included in a mailing earlier this month. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us in the office at (516) 593- CAMP (2267). Remember, the first day of camp is Monday, July 1st! If you have not enrolled for Summer 2013, the clock is ticking! Many groups are closed out. Click here to Enroll for summer 2013!
Wishing your children a fantastic last few weeks of school!

River Reporters Program
|

Become A RIVER REPORTER!
A Unique Program for Mariners, Navigators and CITs that lets the CAMPERS report on camp activities
We are excited to continue our River Reporters Program for Mariner, Navigator and CIT campers. This program will run in conjunction with the popular website and blog, Macaroni Kid Long Beach/Oceanside, and will allow campers the opportunity to write and publish articles for a popular local website.
The River Reporters will work closely with Rolling River Staff member, Andrew Liebowitz, to develop their writing skills and learn more about journalism and blogging. Each week, reporters will be assigned a camp topic and will be encouraged to write 1-2 paragraphs about their experience. River Reporters will also be recognized in Rolling River's e-Scuttle. Note that River Reporters will work on their articles at home (not during camp hours).
If your child is interested in becoming a River Reporter, please contact Andrew at 516-593-CAMP(2267) or andrew@rollingriver.com by June 22nd.There is limited space in the program so act fast!
