What do you enjoy most about the Community Center?

I enjoy getting to interact with all of our members and working with such caring, knowledgeable, and fun co-workers. Most importantly, I enjoy working in my area of study and imparting my knowledge when I can.

What is your favorite pastime?
Sports! I'm addicted to ESPN.

What is your favorite food?

Definitely bacon. It is perfect by itself or as a food enhancer.

If you could have lunch with any famous person who would it be and why?

FDR. His influence, strong will and New Deal helped our country out of a depression and into a prosperous time. Absolutely my favorite president.

Tell us one interesting fact about yourself.

I am an adrenaline junkie. I have been zip-lining and cliff jumping. I would like to go sky diving one day.

We are excited to have Mike working as an intern with Jessica Tracy in the Fitness Center. He is a senior Strength & Conditioning major at the University of Connecticut and is minoring in Psychology. Mike aspires to go to graduate school to attain a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Currently, he is working on developing an active before-school program for Mansfield Middle School students. Additionally, Mike has been named a New England Scholar by the University of Connecticut for his academic achievements this past calendar year.

Launching New Pool Schedule Format

We are very excited to announce we will be launching a new format for our pool schedule that will premier in March.

Community Center staff has been brainstorming and researching the best way to get you all the information that you need in the easiest format possible. We feel strongly that this great new schedule will allow you to more easily find what you are looking for.

There is a sample main pool schedule below to give you an idea of how the new format will work.

Down the left hand side of the page are the different pool activities: lap swim, general swim, lessons, etc. Across the top of the page are the days of the week. So, if you are looking to lap swim, you can find lap swim on the left hand side of the schedule and follow it across the days of the week and find all the times you can come and lap swim.
