Downers Grove, IL - March 3, 2016 - Coventry is pleased to announce that Dr. Michael Lacroix will be speaking at the Chicago Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) Chapter Meeting being held on March 23, 2016 from 11:30 to 1:00 (CT). DMEC local meetings are focused on emerging topics in disability management, allowing absence management and productivity professionals the opportunity to discuss issues with one another in a relaxed setting.

Dr. Lacroix will present "The Pitfalls and Opportunities With Complex Files." While most cases are fairly straight forward, a disproportionate share of the expense stems from a small number of "problem" cases. Join Dr. Lacroix as he reviews the factors that may complicate claims, such as undiagnosed or psychological conditions. His discussion will detail a number of additional factors important in the management of complex files including prevention, the importance of connecting the dots, malingering, the optimal use of medical evaluations, and other factors such as the consequences of disability, financial, and lifestyle considerations.
