What is the difference between a specialty drug and a biologic drug? And how do they relate to workers' compensation?  

Answer: 

Specialty drugs are generally considered high-cost medications that require a more complex method of administration, handling, and storage.  Most of these drugs are administered through injection, infusion, orally or inhalation. They also require enhanced patient monitoring and ongoing therapy which translates into higher cost.
