What's the "plus" in DMEplus?

Coventry's Durable Medical Equipment (DME) program, DMEplus, offers a lot more than just traditional medical supplies. Through our extensive national network of over 6,000 providers we offer a full suite of products and services that include not only durable medical equipment but also the following:

  • Hospital Discharge Planning
  • Imaging & Diagnostics
  • Transportation
  • Translation
  • Mobility Devices
  • Orthotics & Prosthetics
  • Medical Supplies
  • Home Health Care
  • Home Modifications
  • Vehicle Modification
  • Electrical Stimulation Devices
  • Respiratory Therapy
  • Bone Growth Stimulation
  • Physical and Occupational Therapy

But it's not just our broad range of products and services that make up DMEplus. We offer a comprehensive solution to manage workers' compensation claim costs. Our program drives unparalleled customer support and significant savings through the combination of three core competencies:

  • Service excellence that offers a one-stop-shop for ease of use and coordination across multiple products and services.
  • Utilization management, including clinical oversight by our clinical staff on high-dollar or complex cases to ensure medical appropriateness and to optimize product and service utilization.
  • Integration leveraging clinical expertise through a data driven risk model designed to promote intervention when risk is evident, and provide integration with other Coventry solutions such as NT24, Case Management, IME, and Pharmacy Benefit Management.

Our solution has been proven to increase network penetration and costs savings through competitive pricing, utilization management and out-of-network bill processing.

So how does it work?

Referrals can be made 24 hours a day by phone, fax, and email. They can also be made through our online tool Coventry Connect, or by asking your Coventry Area Sales Manager. With DMEplus, injured workers receive immediate, personal service. Once a referral is submitted, DMEplus coordinates all services, equipment, and supplies. Claims examiners no longer need to facilitate unique cases or process provider bills. DMEplus handles all the fulfillment and billing.

If you are not taking advantage of all that DMEplus has to offer and want to learn more, contact us with any questions you have at askDMEplus@cvty.com, and we will put you in touch with a representative that can help get you started.  We're here to help and can walk you through our easy to use process so that all your product and service needs are met through DMEplus.
